1) Major-declaring process is moving forward. Some time in the next month or so, assuming I can prove myself to John, I will propose my plan to take quantum physics, statistical mechanics and some probably advanced seminars without either analytical mechanics or electrodynamics. This is because I believe that many of these elements are mathematically beautiful approximations to extremely contrived problems involving 2-3 rigid, macroscopic, slow-moving objects. Therefore, I'd be better off learning it from an engineering perspective where it might actually be useful. This means that I'm not a physics major, but either a minor or special major.
2) I think I'm doubling my theater load and taking 5 classes.
3) The 1st physics 50 problem set is also the 1st physics problem set since physics 5 that I've solved without any outside assistance. I has teh pride.
4) Pacing around and looking at far-away objects is NOT a waste of time. Since I tend to think about planning things, this actually seems to save me time as well as eyestrain.
5) Dry air makes me physically ill. I have options: open the windows and freeze, or close them and get sick.
